Aviation CO₂ in the national greenhouse gas inventory

Official inventory reported to the UN climate convention (UNFCCC), same IPCC rules for every country: domestic aviation (1.A.3.a) counts in the national total; international aviation (bunker fuel sold for outbound international flights) is a memo item outside it.

In 2024, domestic aviation in Poland emitted 155 thousand tonnes of CO₂, and fuel sold for international flights another 4,001 thousand tonnes, according to the national inventory submitted to the UNFCCC.
